Cueva de las Manos
Paintings on the walls of a cave in the south of Argentina, the province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia. The most famous of them are images of hands, hence the name: "Cueva de las Manos" - "Cave of Hands" in Spanish. Besides the handprints, there are hunting scenes and other paintings.
Dating of the paintings in the Cueva de las Manos cave varies - from 6th-2th century BC to 11th-10th millennium BC. Actually, circumstances suggest little on the matter. The available estimates are based on the dating of associated findings in or near the cave.
